Brian Marriott

Isle of Wight born and having graduated from Portsmouth Art College in 1970, Brian went onto run his own reputable design practice 'Marriott Design' one of the South's leading design studios for 35 years. Turning a new chapter in his creative life he now concentrates on being an equally successful artist/designer.

Brian has created an exciting and original range of sculpted glass pictures inspired by the landscapes and coastline of the Isle of Wight.

Exclusively working with recycled glass fragments from the internationally famous Isle of Wight Studio Glass, his unique pictures are a direct development of his design skills, combined with an understanding of composition and colour, to create beautifully vibrant and uplifting images that take full advantage of the qualities within the glass.

I always have a feeling of excitement when the piece comes out of the kiln, seeing the transformation from recycled glass fragments into a fusion of blended colours and textures that create a stylish tactile picture".
