Kate Richardson
Kate Richardson - Sailing Art & Modern Seascape Paintings
Kate grew up with her family at the Elephant boatyard on the river Hamble.
Kate Richardson went onto study Sculpture at the City & Guilds of London Art School concentrating on form and movement, then moving onto painting primarily with acrylics. Kate's inspiration for her sailing art is drawn from her family's love of racing around the Solent and beyond on their classic yacht Sabrina. And working from her studio in Cowes Kate enjoys the effects created by using bright colours which, if you look hard enough, can be seen all around us.
These modern seascapes paintings are established using a firm line and the colours are boldly and instinctively applied to the canvas to produce a textured surface giving a richness of depth, energy, and movement.
Her large framed artworks will enhance any room.
