Light Airs Racing, Britannia, Lulworth and White Heather
Jenny wanted to show the BIG THREE yachts of around late 1890's early 1920's racing in the Solent but in light winds. It is known amongst sailing people who race that it takes more diligence to get the best out of yachts in these conditions other than in a blow. Every tiny tweak of a sheet, or shift of helm can make all the difference to performance and the crews know this; usually silence reigns except for orders from the skipper or mates, such is the intense concentration. The BRITANNIA is shown ahead, but she did in fact prefer stronger winds.
